Make the Right Decision: Use Organic Baby Clothing

by Trevor Sinclair

Organic clothes, including organic baby clothes, are safer for the environment, for your health, and for ensuring the future of the planet. Choosing organic baby products like organic baby clothes, organic baby toys and organic baby skincare products when you are shopping for your bundle of joy is the ideal thing that we can do for him or her, for their continued health today and for their continued health throughout their whole lives.

Many we wear manmade non-organic clothing products. Recently it has been discovered that a lot of breathing problems, skin irritations, and allergies are at an all-time peak throughout the earth. Not to mention, through the production of non-organic materials, we have damaged the environment to the extent of irreversable damage. We are discovering, through time and science, that the methods in which our food and materials are created is damaging for our world and for our wellbeing.

Most of the clothes we wear needs massive amounts of pesticides to produce. Pesticides can be damaging when they come in contact with our body and conclusively harmful to this planet as a whole. Polyester, a compound which is used in a lot of the clothing and sheets we use, is particularly damaging. It contains chemicals called phthalates, which have been related to multiple types of cancers in recent years.

Of course, cotton and other natural organic fibres is the choice when making organic baby clothing. Cotton is a unique material for producing organic baby clothes. It cleans without fuss, pulls away fluid from our skin, and also is completely hypoallergenic. It is better to put your new baby in organic baby clothes that contain cotton.

Regardless, you also have to be very, very sure about the cotton you buy. Since cotton is such a huge crop, manufacturers over the years have experimented to discover better ways to make and collect it, but have been sketchy on giving thought to how safe their methods are.

Almost about 23% of the world's pesticides are made to use entirely on the production of cotton. As the cotton grows, it holds a fraction of the pesticides, which are then rubbed on to your baby's body as they touch cotton clothing. Now many people come to realize just how dangerous pesticides and many man-made materials are, manufacturers are looking towards checking out organic materials to create their organic baby clothes. Public knowledge of organic clothing is at an all time high, and many major clothing companies are eager to fill in the gaps.

The purchasing where possible of organic baby clothes, organic baby toys, organic baby skincare and all other organic baby products is recommended for better health, a safer environment and for ensuring the future of this planet.
